Former longtime Alexandria Clerk-Treasurer Janet Lynch has died. The 74-year-old Lynch served nearly 27 years in the position before stepping down in March 2017. Alexandria Mayor Ron Richardson honored her years of service at this week’s City Council meeting. Services for Lynch are expected to be private.
