Because Madison County has been without a county engineer for three months, it is going to cost taxpayers for work on the Eisenhower Bridge. According to the Herald Bulletin, INDOT will not reimburse the county for work being done on the bridge since January 1 because there is no responsible employee in charge. Former Madison County Engineer Chuck Leser WAS that person through Dec. 31st.
