Two Madison County lawmakers have been assigned to the influential Indiana House Ways and Means Committee. Representative Bob Cherry will serve as a vice chairman while Representative Melanie Wright, of Yorktown, has been appointed to serve on the committee. The lawmakers will work on developing a two-year state budget.
