96th Street is back open today in Carmel after that surreal 30 vehicle pileup Thursday morning. It happened on the bridge over the White River on 96th Street shortly after 7 a.m. Six people were hurt but no injuries are life threatening. Police say it appears black ice was the culprit. 18 vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
