A Chesterfield man is dead after a plane crash in Grant County Thursday. Officials say 60-year-old Jeffrey C. Barrett was the only person aboard the small plane when it went down just north of S.R. 22 / U.S. 35 in an open field. The area will be closed at times today while the investigation into the crash continues by the F.A.A. and the N.T.S.B.
