MadCo Council Says No To Jail Overcrowding Case Manager

Madison County Council has decided not to hire a case manager to deal with jail overcrowding. The personnel committee made the recommendation to deny that and a request for the sheriff to hire nine new employees. The case manager post would come with a salary of between $45,000 and $60,000. County commissioners had wanted to try it out for three months on a trial basis.
