Ron Richardson says he’s not running for re-election as mayor of Alexandria. His term expires in 2020 and Richardson says illnesses beig suffered by his sister and the husband of another sister prompted his decision. Richardson says he made his intentions known now rather than wait til the last minute. He’s served as mayor since 2016.
