BSU Takeover Of MCS Is One Step Closer
A bill to allow Ball State University to take over Muncie’s public schools is one step closer to passage. The Senate Appropriations Committee voted 9-4 to pass the bill on to full Senate consideration. The bill was amended to require that four of the seven members must come from within the Muncie school district. If the bill passes, a new board will be seated on July 1.
