A bill that could have Ball State take over guidance of Muncie Community Schools, passed in the House Thursday and now heads to the Senate. The bill also requires the state to analyze the financial conditions of all Indiana school corporations to identify those showing fiscal distress. Those schools could obtain assistance from the state.
