A judge in Blackford County has been suspended for six-days. A panel of judges appointed by the state Supreme Court has suspended Judge Dean Young after they say he tried to keep Blackford County clerk Derinda Shady from entering the county courthouse back in 2015. The conflict stemmed from Shady’s response to plans by Blackford County Council to eliminate two positions from her staff.
