An investigation has been launched into the cause of a suspicious fire in a vacant home near Selma. Liberty Township firefighters were called to the scene Monday afternoon and battled heavy smoke and fire that spread through the home. State fire investigators were called due to suspicious circumstances. The fire appeared to originate in the basement, but it’s unclear whether the fire was intentionally set.
