Emergency warming centers are being opened in Muncie as temperatures plunge below freezing.
The Star Press reports that the city announced Tuesday that seven fire stations and City Hall will be available for people without shelter. The National Weather Service reported that the temperature was about 9 degrees about 9 a.m. Tuesday around Muncie.
