Walgreen’s Buys/Will Close Some Rite Aid Drug Stores

Some drugstores in your neighborhood might be closing. Walgreens is buying longtime rival Rite Aid and plans to close about 600 of its stores. Company officials say the locations most vulnerable are the ones within a mile of another store in the Walgreens network. The drugstore closings will start next spring and be completed over 18 months. No specific locations have been named as closing.
