A $12.2 million housing development planned near the old Anderson High School Wigwam could get underway sooner rather than later. The low-income, 44-unit complex could see construction start as soon as next month. The Wigwam itself closed six years ago is undergoing redevelopment by an Indianapolis-based company. Plans for the Wigwam have called for turning much of the complex into 55 housing units, creating office and community space with other parts and renovating the famed gymnasium through a separate partnership.
