Possible City Bailout For MCS

Could a city bailout be coming for Muncie Community Schools? The Star Press reports Mayor Dennis Tyler is considering a plan to earmark at least $3.5 million of municipal funds to help MCS out of its fiscal hole. In particular, two projects that need to be addressed for roughly that amount are HVAC and other issues at Central High School and South View Elementary School. Work needed at East Washington Academy rings up another $2 million.
