ISTEP numbers are in for Madison County. South Madison, Frankton-Lapel, Shenandoah, and Daleville exceeded the average statewide pass rate for English language arts in grades three through eight. However, the statewide percentage was lower than the 66.1 percent for the 2015-16 school year.
Students in grades 3-8 at six ECI schools passed both the math and English tests at rates higher than the state average. They include Burris, Shenandoah, Delaware Community, Yorktown, Monroe Central, Jay, and Daleville. Fewer than 40 percent of students passed the tests – including South Henry, Muncie Community, Union Schools, and Randolph Southern.
