Prosecutors have charged a 28-year-old man with murder in last week’s fatal shooting of a police officer in Indianapolis. Marion County prosecutors charged Jason Brown on Tuesday with one count of murder in the July 27 slaying of Southport police Lt. Aaron Allan. Brown was dangling upside down in his car after it crashed and Allan tried to help. An affidavit says Brown opened fire on Allan.
