The conviction will stand for a Sulphur Springs man who was sentenced to 75 years in prison for killing his girlfriend. A Henry County jury found 39-year-old Andrew McWhorter guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the death of Amanda Deweese, a 24-year-old Middletown woman. McWhorter – with a projected release date in 2042 – says he will appeal his latest conviction.
