Former Muncie Mom Arrested

A mother was arrested Monday on allegations stemming from the June 2016 death of her 4-month-old daughter in their north Muncie home. The Star Press reports that 27-year-old Tricia Kay Cavanaugh – more recently of Noblesville – is charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death. Authorities say the infant girl died while sleeping in the same bed with her mother, who had allegedly ingested several controlled substances.
