State Road 9 in Alexandria is closed today for railroad crossing maintenance and will remain closed for most of the week. The Indiana Department of Transportation says crews will be working on the Norfolk Southern crossing north of East 1st Street. A detour takes traffic east to Interstate 69 via State Road 28 and State Road 32.
