A hometown favorite is the pace car driver for this year’s Brickyard 400. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway says that this year’s pace car driver will be 5-time winner Jeff Gordon. This will be the first Brickyard without Gordon in the field. He retired from racing two years ago, but drove in the race last year to fill in for his former teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr.
