A Madison County infant is in the hospital and a Summitville couple is in jail. Police say physicians found the child’s left femur was broken and evidence of at least 13 other bone fractures inflicted since her birth April 17. 22-year-old Ryan M. Smith and 19-year-old Emily McCune have been charged with one count each of Level 3 felony neglect of a dependent causing serious bodily injury.
