A tanker truck and a pickup truck crashed on Ind. 3 near Royterton Road. It happened at about 9:15am. Police say the driver of the pickup was headed northbound and apparently reached down to pick up his cell phone. His truck swerved into the path of the rig which was coming in the other direction and they collided. The pickup truck driver and a female passenger were taken to the hospital but no word on their conditions. The tanker truck driver wasn’t hurt.
