He was on the last Central team to win the state boys basketball championship, now Chandler Thompson is coming back to coach the team. He dropped 21 points in that championship game back in 1988. Last night, he was one of four new coaches named at Central after a number of recent departures. Also, hired: Randy Gardner as volleyball coach, Scott Pethtel as football coach and JD Craft as wrestling coach.
