Long Time Coach Calling It A Career

A long run on the local sports scene is coming to an end. Wes Lyon, longtime head volleyball coach with Southside and Central, is telling the Star Press that he’s retiring. Between the two schools, Lyon coached a combined 38 years. Lyon is 62 years old and will retire from coaching at the end of this school year.
