Police say a convenience store clerk in Muncie was badly beaten during a holdup after two masked men walked into the Country Mark gas station at 3401 East Memorial Drive and immediately went up to the counter and began beating the man with wooden clubs. The victim suffered head and spleen injuries and had to undergo surgery at the hospital. Police are still searching for the suspects.
