A man is accused of beating a woman and then being cuffed for drunken driving. 50 year old Wayne Becktell of the 100 block of South Vine Street is in the Delaware County Jail in lieu of a ten thousand dollar bond. Police say a woman reported Becktell pulled her hair and punched her in the head, and also injured her shoulder in a Sunday incident. Police pulled him over at Pershing Drive and Seymour Street and determined that Becktell was intoxicated behind the wheel.
