Three Funding Options For Replacing Bridge

It’s come down to three options for funding the replacement of Anderson’s Eisenhower Bridge. The county received a $13.5 million federal grant last year to pay the majority of the costs, but the county must come up with $5.2 million. The Capital Improvements Committee of the Madison County Council is recommending either borrowing $4 million from a local bank for 10 years, taking $4 million from existing funds, or borrowing the entire $5.2 million from a local bank.
