Tax Hike On Cigs Would Help Fund Cessation

The General Assembly is being asked to raise the tax on cigarettes by $1.50 a pack. The legislation would also restore funding for tobacco prevention and cessation. The bill has the backing of a coalition of health and business professionals – who say it’s especially important to discourage smoking among Indiana’s youth.
