Police say a young child watched her mother OD on heroin after the woman stopped at a truck stop to buy her a doughnut. Authorities were called to the Petro gas station at 14000 W. Ind. 28 at about 11 Saturday morning. A number of people had tried to revive 31 year old Audra Carter who had reportedly taken heroin in her SUV while her daughter was in her child safety seat. Carter was brought around and taken to a hospital and has since been charged with neglect. She was being held in lieu of $7500 bail.
