A 24-year-old Kokomo man is accused of killing his 67-year-old grandfather by punching him, knocking him to the ground and then choking him until his arms got tired. Then he hit his grandfather in the head with a frying pan before stomping on his head with both feet, and slicing his grandfather’s wrist because he wanted to see him “bleed out.” His grandmother says the 24-year-old got along with his grandfather. He was recently diagnosed with schizophrenia and he started medication for it, but did not always take it. Zachary M. Miller is facing charges of murder and aggravated battery in connection to the death of his grandfather, John Miller.
