Two former members of Yorktown Town Council have filed a court petition aimed at removing the town’s clerk-treasurer from office. According to the Star Press, the action filed, came four days after the council’s current president, Rich Lee, presented Clerk-Treasurer Beth Neff with a letter asking her to resign. A Feb. 10 bench trial has been set on the petition to oust Neff. Lee’s letter and the petition refer to Neff’s supervision of the town’s financial records.
