Emergency crews closed Scatterfield Road on Anderson’s north side Tuesday evening. A house fire was reported at about 6 p.m. in a garage area of a home at Scatterfield and Iroquois Street. The family of four was able to safely escape the burning structure. The busy street was closed due to intense smoke that limited visibility.
