Outcry over IUPU-Fort Wayne Plan to Drop Some Degree Programs

Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s plan to eliminate several degree programs and departments has sparked an outcry from faculty and students who say they feel betrayed. The Lafayette Journal & Courier reports school leaders announced the restructuring Tuesday. Officials say the changes are expected to save $1.1 million each year. Faculty and students argue that many of the changes won’t generate enough saving to justify the cuts.
