A Muncie man has been handed 72 years behind bars for his role in the death of his 4 month old son in February of 2015. 24 year old Cory Wallace was found guilty last month of five felonies, including neglect of a dependent resulting in death. Prosecutors say he failed to get medical help for his child after the baby suffered fatal brain injuries. Investigators say he also set fire to the child’s bedroom in an attempt to cover up how the child had died.
