Tony Dungy who became the first black head coach to win the Super Bowl with the Colts following the 2006 season, will be inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Aug. 6.
He’ll join former Indianapolis wide receiver Marvin Harrison, quarterback Brett Farve, Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler, and others in the Canton, Ohio museum. When Dungy entered the NFL with the Steelers nearly 40 years ago, there were just 10 black assistant coaches in the league.
“It’s been a career that’s been magical,” Dungy said, “and I don’t have any regrets.”
