A North Carolina man has pleaded guilty in the death of his girlfriend and has been sentenced to two years of in-home detention, which the Madison County court says he can serve back home in North Carolina. 41-year-old Christopher Wertz and 29-year-old Megan Solinski were driving about 80 miles an hour on Indiana 38 when they hit a utility pole.
