Services will be held this week for a slain Howard County Sheriff’s Deputy. Carl Koontz was serving a search warrant in Russiaville when he and his partner were gunned down by the subject of that warrant. Visitation for Deputy Koontz will be held from 1-7 pm today at Northwestern High School in Kokomo. His funeral will be tomorrow morning at 11. Deputy Koontz will be laid to rest at Albright Cemetery in Kokomo.
