Madison County Commissioners have handed out contracts to begin building a new county minimum security facility on Jackson Street in Anderson. Six of the countractors are in Madison County, the project is estimated to be about $1.6 million. The new work release center will house up to 150 inmates and is scheduled to be done by December 1st.
