Perfect Circle Credit Union ex-manager charged with embezzlement

The former manager of Perfect Circle Credit Union in New Castle was arrested for stealing money from the financial institution last fall. 51-year-old Betty Strickler is accused of taking more than $50,000 in fraudulent loans between October and December, when she was fired. The credit union reported the theft the day after her firing on December 15th. Along with four loans she illegally authorized, police say about $2,700 was missing from her drawer the day she was fired. She was arrested and made bail in Henry County jail. Her trial is set for May 1 in Henry Circuit Court.
