Old hospital destroyed in Jay County fire

A dramatic fire destroyed a century-old building in Pennville, in Jay County overnight. The site is the former Caylor-Nickel Hospital, which is now used as a storage building. The structure was destroyed and firefighters had trouble with getting enough water from the town’s supply, rather relying on mutual aid tankers from nearby departments. No word yet on the cause.
