Man who crashed stolen car in creek with kids gets prison

A Muncie man who stole a car with two children inside and crashed it into a creek, leaving them in the partially submerged car, was sentenced to prison yesterday. 27-year-old Brent Allen South pleaded guilty to neglect of a dependent and driving with a controlled substance in his system. The car landed on its roof with a 13-year-old and a baby in the back seat. A passerby was able to get them out. South will spend four years in prison.
