19-Year Old Muncie Man Charged In Thursday Stabbing

A Thursday stabbing in Muncie ended with a man dead and another arrested for murder. It happened Thursday afternoon at an apartment near South Franklin and West Seventh streets.

19-year-old suspect Jaylin Ammon allegedly told police he would refer to himself as a martyr and wanted to purge the wicked. Court documents state a witness saw a shirtless man covered in blood walking down Seventh Street. The witness asked him if he was involved in the stabbing and he said, “I took out a Meth Dealer! He was going to hurt my friends.”

According to those same documents, responding officers also said Ammon was upset with the victim dealing meth to his friends. He told the victim to leave his apartment and when he refused he stabbed him. The victim’s identity is still not yet known.
