The school bus route coordinator for Muncie Community Schools is coming under fire in at least two other school districts.
The Metropolitan School District of Martinsville in February hired True Consultant Service of Indianapolis to improve bus service…only to have the same issues MCS had.
Superintendent Michele Moore posted on Facebook to parents that crews were at work last weekend manually assigning bus numbers and routes to students “because our consultant did not route all of our students.” And on the first day of school, nothing was ready.
Meanwhile, that same consulting company recommended Monroe County hire Auxilio as the new school bus contractor…only to see the same problem Muncie schools faced- a shortage of bus drivers, only running a THIRD of planned routes on the first day of school.
