Lowe’s writes a check for $70,000 to help Muncie Habitat for Humanity. The money will help the group build community gardens, board up vacant homes, and lift community spirts. One of those built by Habitat and Lowes volunteers is at 10th and Sampson. Also, They turned two vacant lots into clean, safe and fun residents to use for recreation, and boarded up some vacant homes in the area with boards painted to look like windows. Lowes has donated $83 million to Habitat for Humanity nationwide since 2003.
