Man Charged With Attempted Animal Cruelty

A dispute over a dog’s barking has resulted in a criminal charge against a Parker City man. The Star Press reports 51 year old John D. Ferguson is charged in Randolph Superior Court with attempted cruelty to an animal. A Parker City police officer reported he was sent to the 1700 block of Tree Street about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 29 after a neighbor reported Ferguson had tried to shoot his dog.
