New Clerk Treasurer Raises Issues

At the first Alexandria Board of Works and council meeting of 2020, the town’s new clerk-treasurer has already identified issues that need attention. Since taking office January first, Darcy VanErman, says that staff has not been properly trained in using the software; city accounts for October through December are not balanced and are overdue; and internal controls have not been established.
