Former Southside Motel Now On Demolition List

Muncie’s former Red Carpet Inn is now on the city’s demolition list. The Star Press reports the owners of the property at 3400 S. Madison Street failed to show at a meeting of the Unsafe Building Hearing Authority, and it’s the second time in a row that’s happened. The owners now face fines of $10,000, $5,000 for each missed meeting. They were supposed to produce a plan for dealing with the building.
