Elwood’s Fire Chief Demoted

Elwood Fire Chief Brad Compton has been demoted. Mayor Todd Jones says the decision came after receiving an email containing images that allegedly showed Compton and his Elwood Fire Department pickup truck parked in Marshall, Illinois, a violation of city policy. Assistant Chief Mark Sullivan will be the department’s new chief.
