Audit Reveals MCS Used Restricted Bond Funds
A comprehensive forensic audit of Muncie Community Schools uncovered nothing illegal. It did however, reveal that school district officials did use restricted bond funds to try to cover gaps in operating budgets. The Star Press reports the audit covered the period Jan. 1, 2014, to Sept. 5, 2018, during which there were six chief financial officers and two superintendents.
